The City of Pembroke is accepting tenders for the Replacement of Roof System at Water Purification Plant, Pembroke Memorial Centre and City Hall. Work includes: supply of all labour, equipment and materials necessary for the demolition down to top of roof deck and disposal of existing roofing system, and the supply and installation of new modified bituminous roofing system, including temporary removal of HVAC units by licensed trades, new vapour barrier, insulation, tapered insulation, base and cap sheet at each of the above reference locations in accordance with the bid documents. Replace plumbing stacks, roof drains, and flashing.
Sealed tenders plainly marked as to contents, will be received by Ms. Diane Schofield, Deputy Treasurer, City of Pembroke, Operations Department, 460 River Road, Pembroke, Ontario until 2:00:59 PM, local time, Tuesday, September 12, 2017.
Complete tender documents may be obtained from Pinchin Ltd., 1 Hines Road, Kanata, Ontario, on payment of a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 per set (limit of two sets per roofing contractor and one set per mechanical or electrical contractor). Cheques should be made payable to Pinchin Ltd. Tender sets will be available beginning Tuesday, August 29th, 2017, during regular office hours.
A mandatory site meeting for bidders will be held Thursday August 31st, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. local time beginning at the Water Purification Plant, 1 Riverside Drive and continuing on until all three facilities have been viewed.
The successful bidder will be required to file with the owner the specified bonds and insurance within ten days of being awarded the contract.
The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
