Tay Valley and Drummond North Elmsley Township have issued Tender # 2018-PW-001, Otty Lake Side Road Reconstruction.
Sealed tenders on forms provided by the Townships will be received in envelopes clearly marked as “Tender # 2018-PW-001, Tay Valley Township – Otty Lake Side Road Reconstruction” until 1:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 and addressed to:

Tay Valley & Drummond North Elmsley Townships are reconstructing Otty Lake Side Road from Scotch Line (County Road 10) to Kenyon Road (+/-4.3 km southeast of Scotch Line) inclusive of the intersection at Scotch Line, Wild Life Road, and Mary Miller Road. In addition, the Townships are reconstructing Mary Miller Road from Otty Lake Side Road to +/-70m east of the intersection with Otty Lake Side Road. The project includes pulverizing of existing road surface with sections of full reconstruction including supply/placement of granular base and subbase, and hot mix asphalt. This project also includes culvert replacements, grading, ditch cleanout and ditch excavation, as well as residential driveway and landscaping reinstatement. Full details of the project scope have been included in the tender package.
The estimated major quantities are:
- Earth Excavation – 8,200 m3
- Pulverize (150mm depth) – 21,000 m2
- Installation of Road Crossing Culverts – 210 m
- Granular ‘A’ – 18,000 t
- Granular ‘B’ – 12,000 t
- Hot Mix Asphalt – 4,600 t
The Form of Tender is available for pick-up from the Tay Valley Township Office after 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 12th, 2018.
A charge of $50 will be collected for all tenders being picked up at the Township office. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.
If you should require further information regarding this tender, questions will be accepted up to Monday, March 19th, with addendums being issued up to Tuesday, March 20th.
