Tenders will not be opened in public. Unofficial bid results will be emailed to all those who submitted bids shortly after tender closing. Language of tender submissions is English. Construction consists of full depth asphalt replacement on Pembroke Street West from Blakely Crescent (city limits) to Crandall Street with a length of 645m. Work will include full depth asphalt removal, grading of base granulars, localized base repair, reinstating full depth asphalt, addition of paved shoulder, addition of concrete sidewalk, structure adjustments, structure rebuilding and installation of frame and grates. The work will also include upgrading traffic signals, pedestrian signals and sidewalks at the Blakely Crescent intersection with Pembroke Street West.

Anticipated date of construction completion is December31, 2020. Complete tender documents, in an electronic PDF version, may be obtained from McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd., 115 Walgreen Road R.R. 3 Carp, ON K0A 1L0, on payment of a non-refundable cost of $ 25.00 per set. Cheques should be made payable to McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd. Tender sets will be available during regular office hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm).

All questions relating to this tender request will be received in writing up to and no later than 4:00 pm local time on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. The successful bidder will be required to file with the City of Pembroke the specified bonds and insurance within 10 business days of being awarded the contract.

The procurement of goods and services specified in the tender documents is subject to the provision of the Canada Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and the Ontario-Quebec Trade and Cooperation Agreement (OQTCA). The city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders.  The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. This project is being undertaken with funding support from the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP): Rural and Northern Stream.
