Contract No. 19027-02 River Road Watermain Construction

Hard copy sealed tenders, plainly marked as to its contents, will be received by Ms. Diane Schofield, Deputy Treasurer, City of Pembroke, Operations Department, 460 River Road, Pembroke until 2:00:59 p.m., local time, Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

Tenders will be opened in public immediately following closing time. Language of tender submission is English.

The scope of work includes the construction of a new 300mm watermain on River Road from Town Line Road to Laurier Avenue (approximately 320m) and abandonment of approximately 275m of existing 150mm watermain on River Road from Town Line Road to Laurier Avenue. The scope of work also includes the construction of approximately 24m of sanitary sewer on River Road east of Ellis Avenue.

The work includes the replacement of valves, services, hydrants, connections to the existing water network and all reinstatement works. Anticipated date of construction completion is November 22, 2019.

Complete tender documents, in an electronic PDF version, may be obtained from Ainley Group Consulting Engineers & Planners, 2724 Fenton Road, Ottawa, ON, K1T 3T7 on payment of a non-refundable cost of $25.00 per set. Cheques should be made payable to Ainley Group. Tender sets will be available for pick up during regular office hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm).

All questions relating to this tender request will be received in writing up to and no later than 4:00 pm local time on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. The successful bidder will be required to file with the owner the specified bonds and insurance within ten (10) business days of being awarded the contract.

The procurement of goods and services specified in the tender documents is subject to the provision of the Canada Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and the Ontario-Quebec Trade and Cooperation Agreement (OQTCA). The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
